Rewire Your Organization's Autopilot

Calm Clarity supports leaders, teams, and organizations to rewire their autopilot by retraining their Default Mode Network (DMN) to shift from a state of reactivity to a state of wise agility. It begins by guiding your team to discern and recognize how their autopilot navigates challenges in three general modes:

  • Brain 1.0: Corresponds to the threat system commanding the DMN to construct and use mental models that fuel hypervigilance, siloed thinking, and defensive decision-making.
     

  • Brain 2.0: Corresponds to the dopamine system commanding the DMN to alleviate Brain 1.0 by chasing short-term wins such as quick fixes, immediate gratification, external validation, and exerting dominance to regain an illusory sense of control. Brain 2.0 thinking often ignores or postpones long-term and systemic issues.

Program Outline:

Over six two-hour sessions, participants will bolster their inner foundation by strengthening 4 key neural systems that enable them to elevate their leadership capacity, performance, and impact.  

Session 1: Your Autopilot & Default Mode Patterns 

Discover how your DMN alternates between Brain 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 and how this changes your interactions. Reflect on what supports and impedes your ability to engage in Brain 3.0.
 

Session 2: The Attention System

Build your neural capacity for deep focus and concentration by practicing techniques to observe your inner noise without getting distracted by your DMN. Learn how to effectively engage mindfulness to anchor in present-moment sensory awareness. 
 

Session 3: The Resilience System & Triggers 

Strengthen your capacity to recover from stress by attuning to bodily signals that correspond to Brain 1.0, 2.0, and Brain 3.0. Anticipate triggers for these modes and design behavioral triggers to intentionally activate and sustain Brain 3.0.

Session 4: The Meta-Awareness System & Breaking Patterns 

Develop meta-awareness as a superpower to observe your automatic thoughts, stories, and behaviors so you can train your autopilot to replace reactive patterns with constructive ones.
 

Session 5: The Connection System

Strengthen your capacity for compassion, empathy, and perspective-taking by activating the "tend-and-befriend" response. Build neural capacity for connection that enables leaders to foster psychological safety and collaboration.
 

Session 6: Application & Integration 

Translate insights into a daily routine to continue to upgrade and bolster your inner foundation. Build a neuroscience-informed development plan and monitor your progress using Calm Clarity Self-Assessment Tools.
